On the heels of a three-peat victory at the Mile High Vocal Jam, Colorado's critically acclaimed "best collegiate ensemble" headed into the studio in an attempt to encapsulate and record the creative momentum and fiery passion that was produced every time they stepped on stage. The result was "On the Off-Beat," an eclectic mix of songs sure to please fans of all musical orientations and walks of life. The hard work and dedication that this group of full-time students invests is evident in the complexity of their arrangements and each performance is oozing with their shared passion for what they are able to create together.
Special attention should be paid to tracks 2, 4, and 10 as those who listen to these track are unknowingly witnessing the birth of a star. Each of the above tracks is an original composed and arranged by a now alumnus of the group which is a welcomed change in an otherwise static genre.
Aside from musical ability, the group pulled from a deep pool of shared talent to fund and administrate the album project, create the album artwork, and even assist the engineers in production. It's quite evident that the final product is truly a labor of love.
